City of Joliet Plan Commission met Feb. 20.

Here is the minutes provided by the commission:

1. CALL TO ORDER:

PRESENT: Jason Cox, Jeff Crompton, John Dillon, Brigette Fiday, Mark Micetich, Rick Moore, Marc Rousonelos.

ABSENT: Jim Capparelli, John Kella.

3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

a. Approval of the January 16, 2020 Plan Commission minutes.

Motion to approve the January 16, 2020 Plan Commission minutes was made by Rick Moore.

Motion seconded by Jeff Crompton.

Motion carried by the following vote:

AYES: Jason Cox, Jeff Crompton, John Dillon, Brigette Fiday, Mark Micetich, Rick Moore, Marc Rousonelos.

NAYS: None

4. CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS This section is for anyone wanting to speak regarding items listed on the agenda, except for items listed under Public Hearing. Anyone speaking on an agenda item is entitled to speak for a maximum of 4 minutes. It is not a question and answer period and staff and the Plan Commission do not generally respond to public comments. Please note speakers who engage in conduct injurious to the harmony of the Plan Commission shall be called to order by the Presiding Officer and may forfeit the opportunity to speak.

a. A-3-20: Annexation of 1.296 Acres located at 21001 Rock Run Drive, Classification to R-1 (Single-Family Residential) Zoning and Approval of an Annexation Agreement. (21001 Rock Run Drive) (PIN # 05-06-22-200-015- 0000)

Mr. Jackson gave the Planning staff report.

Mr. Christopher Ucho appeared on behalf of the petition. Commissioner Moore had a few questions. Mr. Jackson responded. No one appeared in opposition to the petition.

Motion to recommend the City Council approve the Annexation of 1.296 Acres located at 21001 Rock Run Drive, Classification to R-1 (Single-Family Residential) Zoning and Approval of an Annexation Agreement was made by Jeff Crompton.

Motion seconded by Brigette Fiday. Motion carried by the following vote:

AYES: Jason Cox, Jeff Crompton, John Dillon, Brigette Fiday, Mark Micetich, Rick Moore, Marc Rousonelos.

NAYS: None.

b. P-1-20: Preliminary Plat of U.S. Route 30/Kellogg Street a Minor

Subdivision Unit 3. (2705 Plainfield Road) (PIN # 06-03-25-107-010-0000)

Mr. Jackson gave the Planning staff report.

Mr. Joe Vavrina, HR Green, appeared on behalf of the petition.

Mr. Jackson answered the Commissioners questions.

No one appeared in opposition to the petition.

Motion to recommend the City Council approve the Preliminary Plat of U.S. Route 30/Kellogg Street a Minor Subdivision Unit 3 was made by Jason Cox.

Motion seconded by Marc Rousonelos.

Motion carried by the following vote:

AYES: Jason Cox, Jeff Crompton, John Dillon, Brigette Fiday, Mark Micetich, Rick

Moore, Marc Rousonelos.

NAYS: None.

8. NEW BUSINESS: NO PUBLIC HEARING

9. STUDY SESSION:

10. OLD/NEW BUSINESS—NOT FOR FINAL ACTION OR RECOMMENDATION:

There was brief discussion about the special Plan Commission meeting on Monday.

Mr. Jackson stated that the new iPads will be issued at their training sessions.
