What makes your business unique to the Channahon area?

We are very involved in the community. The business sponsors and participates in many community events. Our business loves to give back and support the people who help support us. We believe that any action, big or small, will make a difference.

What would you like Channahon area residents to know about your business?

We are very involved in the community. The business sponsors and participates in many community events. This year alone we have worked with schools, Catholic charities, organizations that help children, sponsored the Three Rivers Festival and 5K events. Our business loves to give back and support the people who help support us. We believe that any action, big or small, will make a difference.

What do you enjoy most about doing business in Channahon?

The small town feeling in a growing city. The people are friendly and everything is so well maintained!

Do you have any advice for new business owners?

Having a great support system is a must. My wife is my rock. While I am focused on the business, I rely so much on her to keep everything going smoothly at home. We work good as a team.

Also, owning a business is hard. There will be long days. But, it is very rewarding. Find your “why” – mine is my sons – and don’t lose sight of the reason that you started the business.

When you're not working, where in Channahon do you like to spend your time?

This summer we spent a lot of time at the pool. The kids love swimming and we all enjoyed the water slide. We also did the kids bowl free program and definitely spent a lot of time at the bowling alley.

Anything else?

I am a veteran. I served in the Army after high school.

My wife and I have three sons – ages 8, 6 and 6.

My father owned a similar business in Chicago called Lyons Truck Parts. I started working for him when I was about 10 years old, doing simple things like cleaning the shop. I started doing oil changes and more mechanic work. Eventually, I was running the shop. My dad retired, and he sold the company. My background was very strong in business and I knew I wanted to own my own company, so my wife decided that we would take a leap of faith, and God has been good to us so far. We pray that through honest and excellent service, our business will continue to prosper for years to come!
