The Interim City Manager informed the Mayor and Council of the City being the recipient of the Governor's Home Town Award for the volunteer efforts at the Old Joliet Prison.

The Mayor, Council, and Steve Jones discussed resolutions to disagreements amongst the Council.
Mayor O'Dekirk briefly discussed the attendance of Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot at the October 8, 2019 Environmental Commission Meeting to discuss Lake Michigan as an alternative water source.
XIV. PUBLIC COMMENTS:
Brandon Harris addressed the Mayor, Council, and Chief Roechner regarding political propaganda.
Mady Perez spoke regarding a shooting incident at the Mexican Independence Parade, Mayor and Council disagreements, and the legalization of cannabis.
John Sheridan spoke regarding the disagreements at City Hall.
XV. MAYOR AND COUNCIL COMMENTS:
Councilman Dickinson encouraged all to support the Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Councilwoman Quillman highlighted Detective James Hargrow attendance at the National Black Police Officer Association and recipient of the 2019 Willie Smoot Organizational Meritorious Award.
Councilwoman Reardon thanked the S.W.A.T. team and first responders for their efforts during the recent murder/suicide.
