City of Crest Hill issued the following announcement on Dec. 22.
In the last few years, the stretch of Weber Road from Caton Farm to Division Street has experienced a significant increase in daily traffic. The need for a gas station and convenience store along this stretch was inevitable. Speedway was a logical choice, with its growing brand nationwide. City staff had been working with officials from Speedway for several months before shovels were in the ground up until the day it opened in late November. Now you can stop for gas as well as pick up snacks and drinks with state of the art beverage equipment. This is the second Speedway location in Crest Hill, the other located along Plainfield Road near Caton Farm Road.
