Elwood Community Consolidated School District 203 Facilities Committee met Oct. 15.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

I. Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 5:00 p.m.

II. Roll Call

The following board members were present: Margaret Bosonetta and Brandon Lipke. Also in attendance was Cathie Pezanoski. The following board member was absent: Larry Stasiak

III. Old Business

A.) Large Gym Floor 

The Committee discussed having a reduction in cost which will pay for the repainting of the endzones. Veterans Floor will be fixing the floor by the north exterior door. Still not determined how moisture got underneath the floor.

B.) Blacktop Improvements 

Discussion was had regarding improving the blacktop. Committee would like to place in the budget for 2021.

C.) Marquis 

Committee discussed purchasing a new marquis. The marquis will not be updated at this time.

D.) Life Safety Updates 

Committee discussed the mandatory items needing to be completed. It was determined the breezeway doors must be replaced per the life safety survey.

E.) New IMC (Library) Carpet 

The Committee discussed replacing the carpet or placing a floating floor in the IMC.

F) Interior Cameras 

Committee discussed to move forward and install yet in FY20.

IV. New Business

A) 2001 Addition Roof 

Discussion was held regarding the 2001 addition roof.

B) Emergency Lockdown Notification System 

Discussion was had amongst the committee with regards to the lockdown notification system. Will be working on obtaining quotes.

The meeting was adjourned at 5:58 p.m.
