1. Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by President James Satorius. Roll call was answered as indicated. Others present were: Kris Monn, Joshua Ruland, Aaron Souza, Monica Totaro, Kathleen Cheshareck, Jeana Pekol, Jill Lustik, Nicole Aulet, Lisa Dziidic, Chris Chamblee, Dave Meyer Ciara Manno, Adrianne McKerrow, Nick & Annette Anastopoulos, Kristen Dondlinger, Luis Vargas, Rosa Palacios, Melinda DiLorenzo, David DiLorenzo, Jackie Harig, Amy Lukasik, David Lukasik, Mary Robinson, Natalie Baxter, Denise Kalinda, Teresa Miller, and Lori Shanholtzer.

2. Public Comments and Recognitions
2.01 Students of the Month Recognition Students of the Month from MJHS and MIS were honored by the Board and read speeches to the public.
2.02 District Announcements Dr. Monn reported that the boy's cross country team placed 5th and the girl's placed 7th in the state competition.
2.03 Walnut Trails Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge Walnut Trails Student was presented with a plaque for reading 21,579 minutes in the Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge.

3. Consent Agenda
Moved by Skwarczynski, seconded by Allen to approve the list of bills, minutes from the October 21, 2019 regular board meeting and October 15, 2019 committee of the whole meeting, treasurer's report, destruction of the closed session recordings from October 2017, FOIA Requests, disposal of surplus property, and approval of board policy 4-190: Targeted School Violence Prevention Program as presented.

4. Action Items
4.01 Acceptance of FY2019 Audit
Moved by Conquest, seconded by Skwarczynski to approve the acceptance of the FY2019 audit as presented. Auditors David Meyer and Chris Chamblee from WRDR presented the audit to the Board. The auditors stated that they were satisfied with the audit and the way the books are being kept.

4.02 2020 Employee Benefit Plan Renewal
Moved by Allen, seconded by Karceski to approve the 2020 Employee Benefit Plan Renewal as presented.

5. Discussion and Information Items 5.01 Preliminary 2019 Tax Levy Mary Robinson shared her report with the Board. She stated the preliminary 2019 tax levy will be over 5 12% from last year. She stated our bond and interest payments are going down and the tax rate should be approximately 3.29/3.34. She will present final figures at the November board meeting
5.02 Enrollment Updates Dr. Monn reported that the evidence data collection for enrollment is October 15, 2019. Dr. Monn shared his enrollment projections with the Board and stated that working with the demographer will give more accurate enrollment data.
5.03 E Learning Dr. Ruland shared the E Learning Program draft with the Board. He will be sending out for feedback and then will present to the Board in final form at the November board meeting. There will be a Public Hearing at the November board meeting to present the final plan and it will be displayed to the public 10 days before the hearing.
6. COMMUNICATION
6.01 Administrative Reports
Assistant Superintendent Report Dr Ruland stated the district report card by the state will be released at the end of October. He will be presenting the report card and assessments at the November board meeting.
Dr. Ruland reported that Jeana Pekol and some of her teachers will be presenting at the November board meeting to report on the 1:1 initiative in technology.
Dr. Ruland reported that the E-Learning Team will be presenting at the November board meeting
Superintendent Report Dr. Monn reported that he would be working with our architects to develop some possible upgrades at the MJHS building. This information will be brought back to the Board in November.
Dr. Monn shared that the Board will have to decide by December 30, 2019 if they will want to put the new MJHS/MIS school on the referendum ballet.
Dr. Monn shared information regarding subs in the district. He would like to recommend possibly having some permanent subs on a daily basis at each of the schools.

Moved by Fisher, seconded by Skwarczynski to go into closed session to discuss the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, and/or dismissal of employees, negotiations, the purchase of real property, confidential student matters, and/or litigation.
