Frankfort Township Board met Aug. 26.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

The following are the minutes of the regular public meeting of the Board of Township Trustees of the Township of Frankfort, Will County, Illinois which was held at the Frankfort Township Hall, 11000 West Lincoln Highway, Frankfort, Illinois at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 26, 2019.

CALL TO ORDER

The meeting was called to order at 7p.m. by Supervisor Jim Moustis.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

ROLLCALL

Upon the roll being called, the following answered present: 

Trustee Smith      Trustee Miroballi      Supervisor Moustis

Trustee Griffin and Trustee George were absent.

Also present were the following: 

Hugh Stipan- Frankfort     John Anderer – Arbury Hills

DECLARING QUARUM PRESENT

A quorum was declared present.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Motion was made by Trustee Smith to approve the Bi-monthly Minutes from the Monday August 12, 2019 meeting and seconded by Trustee Miroballi. Upon taking the vote, all members voted aye. Nays, none.

Motion carried.

APPROVAL OF BILLS

Motion was made by Trustee Miroballi and seconded by Trustee Smith to approve the bill's list as presented. The following roll call was taken:

Trustee Smith – aye 

Trustee Miroballi – aye

Supervisor Moustis – aye.

Motion carried.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF ELECTED OFFICIALS

Bill Carlson, Highway Commissioner Nella Piccolin, Clerk

PUBLIC COMMENTS

None

OLD BUSINESS

NEW BUSINESS

None

BOARD COMMENTS

Highway Commissioner Bill Carlson, noted that work was delayed today because of rain. Branch pick up continues until the last Monday of this month. When asked, Commissioner Carlson told the board that the Highway Department has replaced about 2,700 to 3,000 trees in the last ten years.

Trustee Smith detailed Country Hoedown, the senior event held on August 14th at C D and Me. Everyone enjoyed the event and there was a good turnout.

Supervisor Moustis has been working to upgrade our security system cameras. He also informed the board that there are appraisals being done on the properties at Landings Pointe. The Event Center, the senior housing building, and all surrounding lots are all being evaluated.

ADJOURNMENT

Trustee Miroballi made a motion to adjourn. Trustee Smith seconded the motion. Upon taking the vote, all members voted aye, nays, none.

Motion carried. The meeting closed at 7:48 p.m.
