Village of Plainfield Committee of the Whole and the Board of Trustees met Sept. 9.
Here is the minutes provided by the committee and the board:
Mayor Collins called the meeting to order at 7:41 p.m. Board Present: Mayor Collins, Trustee Larson, Trustee Newton; Trustee Wojowski, Trustee Benton, Trustee Bonuchi, and Trustee Calkins. Others present: Brian Murphy, Administrator; Jim Harvey, Attorney; Michelle Gibas, Village Clerk; Derek Wold, Engineer; Allen Persons, Public Works Director; Jon Proulx, Planning Director; Lonnie Spires, Building Inspector; and John Konopek, Chief of Police. There were approximately 5 persons in the audience.
Trustee Bonuchi moved to approve the Minutes of Committee of the Whole Workshop held on July 22, 2019. Second by Trustee Larson. Voice Vote. All in favor, 0 opposed. Motion carried. Motion carried.

WORKSHOP
1) VILLAGE VEHICLE & EQUIPMENT MANAGEMENT
Chief Konopek gave an overview of the existing Police Department Fleet highlighting the Patrol Division, CSO, SRO/Dare, Administration, and PEMA. ChiefKonopek reviewed the current condition ofthe fleet, potential new purchases, and future vehicle transfers between departments. Administrator Murphy pointed out that the manufacturers are moving towards SUV' s rather than sedans. Mr. Allen Persons then reviewed the Public Works Fleet including cars and light trucks, one- ton trucks, over two-ton trucks, street sweepers, bucket truck and backhoe loaders. Mr. Persons reviewed the condition ofthe fleet and potential new purchases. Mr. Persons pointed out that several vehicles and equipment will need to be ordered directly though the manufacturer and will have a long lead time.
Mayor Collins read the reminders.
On a motion from Trustee Larson and second by Trustee Bonuchi, the meeting adjourned at 8:13 p.m.
