City of Joliet issued the following announcement on Aug. 20.
Call the Department of Public Utilities at 815-724-4220 for a free watering permit that allows you to water every day for 14 days to establish your sod.
After the 14 day permit you must return to the regular watering schedule (Ordinance, Sec. 31-126) Odd addresses water on odd numbered days and even addresses water on even numbered days and only between the hours of 6-10 a.m. and 6-10 p.m.
