The data shows that 48 men and seven women were released in Aurora. The median age of the parolees was 33. The youngest parolee is a 20-year-old man sentenced for crimes against a person in 2017, and the oldest is a 63-year-old man sentenced for crimes involving drugs in 2017.
The offender who had been incarcerated the longest is Nicholas Toscano. He was convicted of crimes involving one or more weapons in 2012 when he was 23 years old. He is now 30.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
