City of Joliet issued the following announcement on April 14.
Wipes, even those labeled "flushable", can cause major problems in the sewer system. Not all wipes degrade quickly enough resulting in the clogging of sewer pipes and pumps which can cause sewer back-ups. Help us out by putting ALL wipes in the trash.
