Ridgewood home prices rise in the second half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2017 in Ridgewood rose by $10,750 while total sales remained unchanged with four homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2017, there were four homes sold, with a median sale price of $73,500 - a 17.1% increase over the $62,750 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were four homes sold in Ridgewood in the second half of 2016, as well.

The median sales tax in Ridgewood for 2017 was $1,840. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,686. This marks an increase of 9.1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.5%.
