Steger (Will County) home prices rise in the fourth quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2017 in Steger in Will County rose by $48,200.50 while total sales increased by 140%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2017, there were 24 homes sold, with a median sale price of $96,500 - a 99.8% increase over the $48,299.50 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 10 homes sold in Steger in the fourth quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Steger for 2017 was $2,948.76. In 2016, the median sales tax was $3,107.10. This marks an decrease of 5.1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 3.1%.
