Park Forest (Will County) home prices rise in May 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in May 2017 in Park Forest in Will County rose by $27,750 while total sales increased by 75%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In May 2017, there were seven homes sold, with a median sale price of $65,000 - a 74.5% increase over the $37,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were four homes sold in Park Forest in May 2016.

The median sales tax in Park Forest for 2017 was $4,539.28. In 2016, the median sales tax was $4,251. This marks an increase of 6.8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 7%.
