The campaign committee of state senator 43rd district candidate Patrick McGuire, McGuire for Senate, returned a $1,500 contribution from Chicago Automobile Trade PAC on April 16, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. Chicago Automobile Trade PAC has not made any other contributions to Patrick McGuire in the past 12 months.
