Fairmont School District 89 Board of Education met March 12.

Here is the agenda provided by the board:

I. Call to Order – I would like to call the Committee of the Whole Meeting of Fairmont School District 89 to order at (state the time).

II. Roll Call – Could I have roll call please? (after roll call) Please rise for a Moment of Silence followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

III. Petitions and Communication to the Board – In accordance with Board Policy 2:230, individuals may address the Board only at the appropriate time as indicated on the agenda and when recognized by the Board President. Comments shall be limited to 2 minutes.

a. Personnel –

i. Staffing 2019-2020. We continue to look at staffing for the FY 19-20 school year. This is will be an information and discussion item only. Link to the EBM Model of School Funding.

ii. Administrative Contract Renewals

b. Board Meeting: Wednesday, March 20, 2019

c. FY 19 School Calendar Recommendation – we will be making up the Monday after Thanksgiving with the day after Memorial Day. They are highlighted in green on your attached calendar. The other three days – we request permission to use as ELearning Days.

d. FY 20 School Calendar Update – First Reading. According to Senator Bertino – Tarrant, chair of the Senate Education Committee, Illinois will revert back to the old calendar. FY 2019 is very similar to FY 2020 then. There are currently no plans to offer ELearning dates next year.

e. Board Meeting Date Calendar for 2019-2020 – Second Reading

f. Full day blended (special education) preschool – 1 class with permission to increase to 2 if numbers warrant

g. Late Start Days – For FY 2020 Second Read

h. Second and Final reading of the Intergovernmental Agreement with White Oak Library

i. Registration – Technology Fee

j. Lunch – Intergovernmental Agreement with LTHS – no price increases. Final Read.
