Q3 real estate sales report: Joliet

Median prices rose in Joliet over last year, and are down 2.8 percent over 10 years, adjusted for inflation, according to third quarter sales data collected by BlockShopper.com.

From July to September, 670 homes sold in Joliet for a median price of $181,950. That's 1.9 percent higher than median home sale prices for the third quarter of 2017.

Median property tax for homeowners in Joliet was $4,433.56 in 2017 according to tax data from that year. That means homeowners pay 2.5 percent of their home's value in taxes.
