The City of Joliet Fire Department issued the following announcement on Jan. 10.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Joliet area effective from 6 AM Saturday to 9 PM Saturday Evening. The Joliet Area is predicted to receive 1-3 inches of snow with possible accumulations of 2-5 inches along and south of Interstate 80. Residents should take precautions during these hours as slippery roads should be expected during this event.
