The Robert Morris men’s bowling team is Roto Grip Keystone Classic 2018 champ after Michael Martell and Chase Benites filled the top two spots in singles competition on Dec. 22 in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
As a team, the Eagles finished with a pinfall total of 9,650 to easily outpace second-place Notre Dame College at 9,088, according to the school's website.
That same weekend in nearby Whitehill, the Eagles women earned third place in the Lehigh Valley Classic, finishing just 580 pins behind eventual tournament winner Pikeville University with 8,490 points.
Junior Veronica Dreyfus led the way for Robert Morris with a game-high score of 259 on the way to a three-game total 710 that was just 8 points shy of the overall top score in singles play.
Senior Courtney Ermisch also starred for the Lady Eagles, finishing 10th overall.
