Ruffin named honorable mention NAIA 2018 All-American
Brandon Ruffin’s season to remember with the University of St. Francis football team hasn’t gone unheralded.
The 6-foot-4, 180-pound junior wideout was named an honorable mention NAIA 2018 All-American.
In becoming the school’s all-time leader in receiving yards and touchdowns, Ruffin bagged 14 scoring tosses this season and 916 passing yards overall on 50 catches, according to the school's website.
Ruffin’s highlight reel also led to him being tabbed a first-team Mid-States Football Association All-Midwest League selection for the third straight time.
Easily one of the Saints’ most potent and consistent weapons, Ruffin netted at least 66 yards and a touchdown in eight of 10 games this season and eclipsed 100 receiving yards on four different occasions to go with five multiple receiving touchdowns showings.
Ruffin’s seven catches and three touchdowns against Quincy in early September earned him Midwest League Offensive Player of the Week honors for the week ending Sept 15.
