City of Joliet Public Service Committee met Sept. 4.

a. Motion to Accept the Snow and Ice Control Policies and Procedures
Manual SNOW REMOVAL POLICIES AND PROCEDURES MANUAL
Mike Eulitz, Assets Supervisor, discussed the Snow and Ice Control Policy Manual. The City of Joliet needs to lower the amount of salt used on our streets per IEPA regulations. The City uses multiple methods of alternative measures.

Greg Ruddy, Public Works Administrator, discussed Change Order No. 1. This change order has corrected pricing for ADA ramps. Motion to recommend: a) Request for Authorization to Approve Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $102,118.34 for the 2018 Roadways Resurfacing Contract A to Austin Tyler Construction - MFT Sect. No. 18-00514-00-RS to full Council was made by Councilman Don "Duck" Dickinson.

a. Supplemental Resolution Appropriating Motor Fuel Tax Funds for the 2018 Roadways Resurfacing Contract A - MFT Sect. No. 18-00514-00-RS in the amount of $102,118.34 to Austin Tyler Construction RES - RW RESURFAC 2018
Greg Ruddy discussed this MFT resolution.
b. Resolution Authorizing Execution of an Intergovernmental Agreement with New Lenox Township for the Resurfacing of Cherry Hill Road RES - CHERRY HILL RD
Greg Ruddy discussed this Intergovernmental Agreement with New Lenox Township. We would pay them to pave our portion of this road. Jim Trizna, Public Works Director, stated we will come back with a MFT Resolution once final price is received.
c. Resolution Authorizing the Acquisition of 308 Lawton Avenue in the amount of $120,000.00 Res purch 308 lawton
Allison Swisher, Interim Public Utilities Director, discussed the acquisition of 308 Lawton. This is the final piece of property needed.
Motion to recommend Authorization to Approve: a) Supplemental Resolution Appropriating Motor Fuel Tax Funds for the 2018 Roadways Resurfacing Contract A - MFT Sect. Allison Swisher discussed that since the last report, 25 hydrants have been repaired, five valves have been repaired, and 12 new water main breaks.
