City of Joliet Finance Committee met Sept. 18.

Here is the agenda provided by the committee:

1. Roll Call

PRESENT: Councilman Michael F. Turk, Councilman John E. Gerl, Councilman Pat Mudron.

ABSENT: None.

ALSO PRESENT: City Manager David Hales, Director of Finance James Ghedotte, Fire Chief Joe Formhals, Budget Officer Kenneth R. Mihelich, Human Resources Manager Kathy Franson, and Herald News Reporter Bob Okon.

2. Approval of Minutes – Regular Meeting – August 21, 2018

Motion to approve the Regular Meeting Minutes held on August 21, 2018 was made by Councilman John E. Gerl.

Motion seconded by Councilman Pat Mudron.

Motion carried by the following vote:

AYES: Councilman Michael F. Turk, Councilman John E. Gerl, Councilman Pat Mudron.

NAYS: None

3. Citizens to be Heard on Agenda Items

None

4. Discussion of Sales Tax

Sales Tax - Finance September Meeting 2018

Mr. Ghedotte reviewed the Sales Tax and current trends.

5. Monthly Financial Report

2018 - August Monthly Financials

Mr. Mihelich reviewed the Monthly Financial Report.

6. Review of July 2018 Public Safety Salaries and OT and Related Budget Amendments Review of July 2018 Public Safety Salaries

Mr. Mihelich reviewed the July 2018 Public Safety Salaries and OT Report. Fire Chief Formhals was in attendance to offer comments and explanations.

7. Award a Contract (Addendum) for Medicare Reimbursement Contractual Services Award a Contract (Addendum) for Medicare Reimbursement

Ms. Franson reviewed the attached Contract for Medicare Reimbursement Contractual Services.

8. Personnel Summary

Ms. Franson reviewed the Personnel Summary

9. Travel Expense Report

Travel - 08 Aug 2018

The Travel Report was reviewed.

10. Invoices Paid Report

Mr. Ghedotte reviewed the Invoices Paid Report.

13. Closed Session – If required; to discuss personnel, collective bargaining, land acquisition or conveyance and pending or threatened litigation after which the meeting will be adjourned.

14. Adjournment

Motion to adjourn was made by Councilman Pat Mudron.
