Q2 real estate sales report: Tinley Park

Median prices rose in Tinley Park over last year, and are down 10.1 percent over 10 years, adjusted for inflation, according to second quarter sales data collected by BlockShopper.com.

From April to June, 395 homes sold in Tinley Park for a median price of $206,000. That's 1.5 percent higher than median home sale prices for the second quarter of 2017.

In the second quarter, 31 homes in Tinley Park were in foreclosure.

Median property tax for homeowners in Tinley Park was $6,411.98 in 2017 according to tax data from that year. That means homeowners pay 3.2 percent of their home's value in taxes.
