Q2 real estate sales report: Joliet

Median prices rose in Joliet over last year, and are up 11.2 percent over 10 years, adjusted for inflation, according to second quarter sales data collected by BlockShopper.com.

From April to June, 586 homes sold in Joliet for a median price of $195,000. That's 10.8 percent higher than median home sale prices for the second quarter of 2017.

In the second quarter, 4 homes in Joliet were in foreclosure.

Median property tax for homeowners in Joliet was $4,497.45 in 2017 according to tax data from that year. That means homeowners pay 2.6 percent of their home's value in taxes.
