St. Francis senior guard Terrion Howard was recently named Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.
In leading the Saints (5-2, 0-1 CCAC) to three straight wins, Howard poured in 54 points in back-to-back wins, including a game-high 30 in an upset win over then-14th-ranked Bellevue University at the Roosevelt Classic in Chicago.
According to the school’s website, over the Saints' first five games, Howard leads the team in both scoring (18.6) and assists (2.6).
St. Francis closes the month on the road against Trinity Christian College before returning home to host Holy Cross College, East-West University and Olivet Nazarene University at the Sullivan Center.
As a junior, the 5-foot-4, 130 pound Howard averaged 10.5 points and nearly three assists a game for Coach Ryan Marks and the Saints. The Parkland College transfer also finished second on the team in steals with an average of 1.6.
