Natalie A. Manley led Republican Alyssia Benford in votes cast in Troy Township for the District 98 state House race, according to the latest vote count.
Manley appeared to outpace Benford by a margin of 18.7 percent on Tuesday in the township.
In comparison, the 2014 winner, Democrat Natalie A. Manley, won by a margin of 22.6 percent in that jurisdiction, beating Republican Yvonne Bolton, who received 1,062 votes to Manley's 1,682.
