City of Lockport issued the following announcement on Sept. 14.
The City of Lockport Petition Packet for the April 2, 2019 Consolidated General Election is available for pick up at the Central Square Building, Office of the City Clerk, 3rd Floor, 222 E. 9th Street, Lockport, IL. The Office of the City Clerk is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
The first day to circulate petitions for one (1) Alderman for each of the four (4) Wards for four (4) year terms of the City of Lockport is Tuesday, September 18, 2018.
The first day to file a petition with the City of Lockport, City Clerk’s Office is Monday, December 10, 2018 and the last day to file a petition with the City Clerk’s Office is Monday, December 17, 2018. The Office will remain open until 5:00 p.m. on Monday, December 17, 2018.
Lockport residents who are registered to vote in Will County can view their voter information on the Will County Clerk's website (under Voter Services, then Voter Look Up). After entering your information, select "My Elected Officials" under the "Voter Links" heading. Election and voting information for the November 6, 2018 General Election and April 2, 2019 Consolidated Election are available on the site.
