1. Permission to Bid Plum Valley Preserve - Burville Road Access Trail Improvements.

Chief Operating Officer Schultz provided a review of the Burville Road Access Improvements Project which was awarded an OSLAD Grant in the amount of $400,000.00 on January 3, 2015. Shortly after, on January 27, 2015, the State of Illinois suspended the grant. To accommodate the reduction in available funding, the construction of the trail was removed from the project and the construction of the remainder was bid, awarded, and nearing completion of construction. On August 10, 2016 the State of Illinois reinstated the grant, but indicated construction of the trail would be required to receive grant funds.

The trail project was bid in March 2018 but all bids were rejected in April 2018 due to funding constraints. The trail project has been modified to better accommodate the available budget. Funding for this project is contained in the Capital Improvement Program and augmented with the OSLAD grant.
