Madigan spends $66K in July to boost Plainfield Democrat State House hopeful Carnahan-Freeman

Illinois House Speaker and Democrat Party Chairman Michael J. Madigan (D-Chicago) has reported $66,849 in July contributions to Mica Carnahan-Freeman, a Democrat running for the Illinois State House of Representatives against incumbent Rep. Mark Batinick (R-Plainfield).

The total reflects payments made through July 22.

Payments in support of the campaign included one totaling $27,000 on July 10 for polling. Two more, for $21,481 on July 15 and $18,369 on July 22, were to a printer in Philadelphia, as reported by the Illinois Democratic Party to the Illinois State Board of Elections (ISBE).

The contributions bring Madigan's all-time total support of Carnahan-Freeman to $68,525.
