City of Joliet issued the following announcement on June 28.
Due to the extreme high temperatures and humidity and its affect on the drivers, Waste Management has announced that pick up of garbage, recycling and yard waste that is regularly scheduled for Friday, June 29, 2018 to begin at 6 a.m. instead of the usual 7 a.m. start. Waste Management recommends that Joliet residents place their containers outside the night before their scheduled pickup. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
