Monee Fire Protection District responded to 206 calls in 2017 - 15.6 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Monee included 44 fires - 18 structure fires, nine vehicle fires and 17 other fires. The fire department also responded to two calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $3,832,800 in fire loss - or about $87,109 per fire.

The department also received 160 false calls.

The calls resulted in one civilian fire-related injury. Additionally, one fire service member was injured in fire-related incidents.

The Monee Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $2,978,835 in 2017.
