Crest Hill Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on May 25.
In the June/July 2018 issue of Chicago Magazine, you will find all kinds of information about Chicago and the surrounding areas of the collar counties. If you want to know where some of the best places to eat, shop and play are in the Chicagoland market, this publication regularly provides lists to its thousands of readers.
This most recent edition of Chicago Magazine featured an article titled "Where To Buy Now" highlighting some of the areas best neighborhoods and suburbs. The article noted and awarded the City of Crest Hill the "Collar County Star." This is due to the fact the median price of housing in Crest Hill increased 22 percent over the last year, making it the most in the Chicago metro area outside of Cook County. Median residential real estate prices hover around $191,000.
The better news for Crest Hill is that it will likely see more spikes in real estate values as development increases over the next couple of years, specifically on Weber Road.
