Report: Chaney Monge spent $11,066 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Chaney Monge School District 88 is up 14 percent from five years ago, according to a Will County Gazette analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Will County school district spent $9,688 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $11,066 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 466 to 472.

Chaney Monge's spending in 2016-17 was 15 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
