The City Manager gave a brief overview of this Council Memo.

The City Manager gave a brief overview of this Council Memo.

Director of Community Development, Kendall Jackson stated staff is recommending denial of the waiver; however, the Plan Commission is recommending approval.

A brief discussion was held regarding the waiving of a public improvement.

Per the request of Councilwoman Quillman, Plan Commission minutes will be provided prior to the Council Meeting.

Councilman Morris and Public Works Director Jim Trizna discussed the street lighting on Rowell Avenue.

A lengthy discussion was held regarding the City ordinance governing subdivision regulations.

Mr. Wright, with Redeem Church of God in Christ, spoke regarding the waiver.

Kendall Jackson stated residents from the adjacent neighborhood were present at the Plan Commission meeting and expressed concerns. Mr. Jackson reaffirmed the landowner is the one requesting the Special Use Permit.

The City Manager stated this item will be discussed at tomorrow's Public Service Committee Meeting.

Corporation Counsel Marty Shanahan stated there is a process which takes place when an unfair labor practice charge is filed.

Motion to enter closed session to discuss personnel and land acquisition after which the meeting will be adjourned was made by Councilwoman Jan Hallums Quillman.
