Analysis: Crest Hill pays $4.60 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Crest Hill Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 82.1 percent of the $1,370,148 the Crest Hill Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $4.60 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Will County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Crest Hill contributed $1,125,000 to the fund, which saw a $209,529 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $244,196, or 17.8 percent, in 2016. Another $952 came from other unspecified sources.
