Analysis: Channahon pays $3.46 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Channahon Fire Protection District Firefighters Pe

Taxpayers contributed 77.6 percent of the $508,053 the Channahon Fire Protection District Firefighters Pe brought in last year, or $3.46 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Will County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Channahon contributed $394,190 to the fund, which saw a $25,258 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $113,864, or 22.4 percent, in 2016.
