Village of University Park Board of Trustees met Nov. 14.

A. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Covington called this special meeting of the Board of Trustees to order at 6:55 p.m.
B. ROLL CALL
Mayor: Vivian E. Covington Present
Trustees: Elizabeth Williams Present
Paula C. Wilson Present
Theaplise Brooks Present
Curtis McMullan Present
Milton C. Payton Present
Oscar H. Brown, Jr. Present
Also present were Interim Village Manager/Police Chief John Pate, Village Treasurer Devon Dilworth, Parks & Recreation Director Keely Childress, and Village Clerk Dorothy R. Jones.
C: General Public Comments
Mr. Keith Griffin commented that he would like a copy of the most recent IRH Report; and to know whether the direct energy bill has been resolved.
Mr. Arthur Mourning addressed the Mayor and Board and stated that he was removed as the insurance broker last week without cause, or any communication, and that he wants to be reinstated.
Mr. David Sevier commented that he would like a copy of the budget available for review before the budget is passed.
D: NEW BUSINESS
D-1: Bills Payable
Trustee Brooks moved, Trustee McMullan seconded a motion to approve the following bills payable listing of critical general operating expenses that occurred from October 24, 2017 through November 14, 2017. The following funds would be charged:
General Fund Account $234, 627,07
Road and Bridge Fund $ 7,080.78
Capital Project $ 36,906.00
Payroll Fund $ 3,607.47
Total $282,221.26
Trustee Wilson voiced her concern that the total of bills paid and the check register differs by $3000.
Ms. Jacelia Kelly responded that it was probably a manual check that was not included in the total. However, she would double check and provide the information on Wednesday.
Ayes: Trustees Williams, Brooks, McMullan, Payton, Oscar Brown, and
Mayor Covington.
Nays: Trustee Wilson.
Absent: None.
Motion To Approve Carried.
D-2: ADJOURNMENT
Trustee Brooks moved, Trustee McMullan seconded a motion to adjourn this special meeting of the Board of Trustees at 7:15 PM
Motion to adjourn carried by a unanimous voice vote.
