The Village of Romeoville recently highlighted the hard work and success of Ron and Debbie Dalrymple, who run the village’s Culver’s franchise and have won several regional awards from Culver’s corporate office for their store’s excellence in service.
“As an owner, if you’re active in the community and you’re attentive to your guests, you build relationships,” Ron said. “My wife and I have been out walking around Walmart and she will say ‘Ron, six people have come up to say hi to you in the last half hour.’ We get to know people.”
The Dalrymples' emphasis on personal connection and hiring and training has helped their store in the Culver’s Crew Challenge for the Midwest Region two times, and reach the finals every year that the competition has run. The Challenge sends secret shoppers to locations throughout the country to judge stores on factors like prep times, hospitality and guest connect, a category that measures how well shop employees connect with their customers.

The Dalrymples attribute their success to their staff, experience and customers.
“Romeoville’s been a great community,” Ron said. “People often say ‘You have the nicest store. Everyone is so friendly and gracious.’ I always say it’s because we have such friendly and gracious guests. The community is very easy to serve. We have some wonderful people that visit our Culver’s.”
