Unpaid fines for New Lenox-based campaign committee totaled $10,000 in January 2017

One campaign committee in New Lenox has overdue fines amounting to a total of $10,000, records obtained by the Will County Gazette show.

A detailed review of individual fines revealed that New Lenox Democrats was the only campaign committee in New Lenox that was delinquent in payment for January 2017, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

The total that New Lenox Democrats still owes comes from two fines of $5,000, both for violation of board order.
