Village of Minooka Board met March 28.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

Village President, Patrick Brennan called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

Members present: Terry Houchens, Dennis Martin, Ray Mason, Barry Thompson, and Dick Parrish. Trustee Rudy

Martin was absent. Also present: Ryan Anderson – Public Works Superintendent, Kevin Biscan, Village Engineer, Chris Spesia, Village Attorney and Chief Justin Meyer of the Minooka Police Department.

Changes to Agenda – No changes.

Review of Minutes – Minutes of the Village Board Meeting of March 28, 2017 were reviewed. Trustee Houchens moved, Trustee D. Martin seconded the motion to accept the minutes of March 28, 2017 Village

Board Meeting as presented.

Ayes: Thompson, Parrish, D. Martin, Mason, Houchens

Nays: None

Absent: R. Martin

Motion carried.

Bills and Transfers - Trustee D. Martin moved, Trustee Houchens seconded the motion to approve the Bills and Transfers as presented.

Ayes: Houchens, Parrish, D. Martin, Mason, Thompson

Nays: None

Absent: R. Martin

Motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report - Trustee D. Martin moved, Trustee Houchens seconded the motion to approve the Treasurer’s Report as presented.

Ayes: Parrish, Thompson, Houchens, Mason, D. Martin

Nays: None

Public Forum – President Brennan opened the public forum at 7:03 p.m.

Chief Justin Meyer presented to the board the “Village of Minooka Police Department Annual Report”. Chief Meyer also held an awards presentation for the Police Department to include presenting the Officer of the Year Award to Officer Kiedra Meece.

President Brennan closed the public forum at 7:21 p.m.

Consent Agenda – Mr. Dan Duffy read the titles of ten items (9A-9B). Trustee Mason moved, Trustee Parrish seconded the motion to accept the Consent Agenda.

Nays: None

 Resolution Accepting Change Order No.8 for the Repairing of Existing 1 Hour Rated CMU Wall (+ $3,800.00) Resolution #2017R-2055

Staff Reports – Mr. Duffy stated that the staff reports stands as submitted.

Liquor Commission Report – President Brennan stated that there was nothing to report.

Annexation Committee Report – President Brennan stated that there was nothing to report.

Executive Session – President Brennan announced there was no need for an executive session.

Action from Executive Session – No action needed.

As Appropriate – Trustee Parrish recognized the Minooka Junior High Percussion Team for winning the regionals in Southern Indiana over the past weekend.

Trustee Thompson moved, Trustee Parrish seconded the motion to adjourn at 7:39 p.m. All voted yes, meeting adjourned.
