Jessica Kelliher and Jamie Johnson didn’t leave many postseason honors for anyone else.
The Lewis University basketball stars were named to the All-Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) first team recently. On top of that, Kelliher was chosen as Women's Basketball Player of the Year, becoming the fourth winner of the award for the school for the fourth consecutive year.
Johnson, who was named GLVC Player of the Year for the 2014-15 season, was also chosen for the Academic All-America NCAA Division II first team by the College Sports Information Directors of America, the school's website reported. It was Johnson's second selection to the team in three years.
Four Lewis players on the men’s side also earned league honors. Miles Simelton made the All-GLVC first team, and Delaney Blaylock made the second team. Anthony D'Avanzo won a spot on the league's All-Freshman Team, and Frank Vukaj was an All-Defensive Team selection.
