14 North Central College football players make All-CCIW teams

Led by Offensive Player of the Year Broc Rutter, 14 North Central College football players earned postseason honors from the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW), according to www.NorthCentralCardinals.com.

Quarterback Rutter is the third Cardinal in four years to win the Offensive Player of the Year Award and the ninth player in school history to earn the honor. Teammates who also earned first-team All-CCIW honors were wide receiver Alex Ulmer, offensive lineman Joe Fehrle, linebacker Tommy Sora, defensive end Billy Douds, and defensive backs Pat Cravens and Jeremy Niklos.

The Cardinals who made the league's Second Team were running back Austin Breunig, wide receivers Ryan Kuhl and Dylan Warden, and lineman Alec Licar on offense, and linebacker Justin Stuursma and linemen Emonte Logan and Josh Leonhard on defense.

Also, Head Coach Jeff Thorne was named the league's Coach of the Year. He is the fifth Cardinal coach to win the award in program history.
