The top 50 highest-paid teachers in Reed Custer CUSD 255U each earned more than $79,000 in total compensation in 2015, according to the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE).
The amount reflects teachers' full adjusted pay - a calculation which includes benefits and all pension contributions by taxpayers for each teacher, and reflects a full year of work instead of the nine months teachers actually worked.
Records show that in 2015, Kathy M. McGann, a teacher at Reed-Custer Middle School at 255 Comet Drive, received $128,638.99, the highest full adjusted pay among all teachers in the district.
Included in that amount was $29,788.29 in taxpayer-funded benefits, $10,335.43 in retirement benefits, and $19,452.86 in other benefits.
Overall, the total amount Reed Custer CUSD 255U spent on its 50 highest-paid teachers in 2015 was $4,988,042.32.
