Joliet Finance Committee reviews water & sewer study update

Joliet Finance Committee met Tuesday, Aug. 16.

The committee includes three members of the city council who are charged with informing the full council on matters related to the city's cash flow, outstanding projects and appropriations, and the city's position as far as anticipated revenue.

FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING of the Council of the City of Joliet, Illinois was held on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. in the Executive Conference Room, Second Floor, Joliet Municipal Building, 150 West Jefferson Street, Joliet, Illinois.

1. Roll Cal

PRESENT: Councilman Michael F. Turk, Councilman John E. Gerl,

Councilman Pat Mudron.

ABSENT: None.

ALSO PRESENT: City Manager James Hock, Deputy City Manager/Economic Development Director Steve Jones, Director of Finance James Ghedotte, Director of Administrative Services Kenneth R. Mihelich, Superintendent Plant Operations Nicholas Gornick, and Civil Engineer I - Allison Swisher.

2. Approval of Minutes - Regular Meeting - July 19, 2016

2016-08 Minutes July 19 S.

Motion to approve the Regular Meeting - July 19, 2016 was made by Councilman John E. Gerl.

Motion seconded by Councilman Pat Mudron.

Motion carried by the following vote:

AYES: Councilman Michael F. Turk, Councilman John E. Gerl, Councilman Pat

Mudrom.

NAYS: None.

3. Comprehensive Water & Sewer Study Update

Water Rate Presentation S

Mr. Ghedotte, Ms. Swisher, and Mr. Gornick reviewed the Water & Sewer Rate Study information. They provided several scenarios and are planning to meet with each Council Member to review the options. The first increase is planned for November, 2016.

4. Monthly Financial Report

Mr. Ghedotte Reviewed the Monthly Financial Reports.

5. Personnel Summary

Mr. Mihelich reviewed the Personnel Summary.

6. Travel Expense Report

The Travel Expense Report was reviewed.

7. Invoices Paid Report

The Invoices Paid Report was reviewed.

8. Old New Business - (not for final action or recommendation)

9. Adiournment

Motion to adjourn was made by Councilman John E. Gerl.

Motion seconded by Councilman Pat Mudron.

Motion carried by the following vote:

AYES: Councilman Michael F. Turk, Councilman John E. Gerl, Councilman Pat

Mudron.

NAYS: None.
