Lemont Historic Preservation Commission to review COA for awning

Meet

Lemont Historic Preservation Commission will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8.

In 2001, the Village Board created a Historic District which encompasses the downtown commercial district and adjacent residential areas including four blocks of Singer Avenue. The Historic Preservation Commission is an appointed seven member body that meets monthly to review applications and conduct public hearings for Certificates of Appropriateness for exterior alterations to buildings in the District. The Commission also recommends buildings in the Historic District to be designated as landmarks.
