On Friday, Feb. 27, the Western Michigan Broncos—featuring former Lincoln-Way Central High School players Matt Maloney and Michael Maloney—defeated the Cal State Northridge Matadors 11-1 in NCAA Division I baseball.
The matchup occurred at Robert J. Hiegert Field and marked the teams’ first game against each other this season.
Western Michigan is scheduled to play the Matadors again Saturday, Feb. 28 at 4 p.m. at Robert J. Hiegert Field.
