The Village announced on Apr. 2 that it is working with Will County Green to provide residents with discounted rain barrels this spring. Residents can order the subsidized rain barrels online until May 4, and pick up will take place on May 9 during the Village’s Kite Festival event. More information about the program is available at https://upcycle-products.com/il-programs/wcg/.

This initiative aims to encourage water conservation among residents by making rain collection more accessible and affordable. Rain barrels help capture and reuse rainwater, which can reduce runoff and support sustainable gardening practices.

In related community news, Victorian Village features remodeled facilities for memory care in a home-like environment, according to the official website. The facility earned recognition as the first in Illinois for Joint Commission Memory Care Certification, also according to its official website.
