A Regular Meeting of the Village of Manhattan President and Board of Trustees was held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.
CALL TO ORDER:
Mayor Adrieansen calls the Village of Manhattan Board meeting to order at 5:30 P.M.
Boone motion to approve the electronic attendance of Village Board Member, Justin Young. Doyle Second. Roll Call: Bahena aye, Young aye, Dilling aye, Neighbors aye, Boone aye, Doyle aye. (6 ayes, 0 nays, 0 absent, 0 abstain). Motion Carried.

Doyle motion to Approve the Consent Agenda which consists of Approval of December 16, 2025, Village Board Meeting Minutes, Executive session meeting minutes, including audio, July-
December 2025 (not for release), January 6, 2026, Bills list. Bahena Second. Roll Call: Young aye, Dilling aye, Neighbors aye, Boone aye, Doyle aye, Bahena aye. (6 ayes, 0 nays, 0 absent, 0 abstain). Motion Carried.
NEW BUSINESS:
Bahena motion to approve a Resolution authorizing the purchase of a New 2027 International HV507 SFA Chassis from Rush Truck Centers in the amount of $109,132.17. Neighbors second. Roll Call: Dilling aye, Neighbors aye, Boone aye, Doyle aye, Bahena aye, Young aye. (6 ayes, 0 nays, 0 absent, 0 abstain). Motion Carried.
FROM VILLAGE OFFICIALS:
Mayor Adrieansen hopes everyone had a wonderful holiday season.
Doyle hopes everyone had a nice Christmas and New Years
Boone enjoyed the New Years Ball Drop and hopes everyone had a nice Christmas and New Year. Boone thinks it’s great Rosemaria will be joining us from here on out.
Neighbors expressed how nice it was to see everyone enjoying their holidays and reminded residents to review their ComEd Bill, on the back there are sources where you can look at rates. Neighbors also wished Jeff Dertz a happy birthday.
Dilling thanked everyone involved with the New Years eve ball drop and Christmas. Dilling asked Pintar what the status is with Eastern Ave and Pintar informed him that it all depends on when the asphalt plants open back up, but they are communicating with them on a weekly schedule.
Young thanked the board and Mayor for allowing him to call in for the meeting since he is traveling for work.
Bahena wished everyone a happy New Year and Congratulated the Manhattan Wrestling team on taking first place at their tournament over the weekend.
Bouck did not have anything at this time.
REPORTS FROM VILLAGE STAFF:
DiBenedetto did not have a report at this time and thanked everyone for their warm welcome.
Nelson informed the board that he met with the developer on the 31 single family lots next to Prairie Villas and they are almost done with their engineering. The developer will submit for approvals for the final plat this month.
Tyk updated the board that Well 7 is on progress, drywall is almost done on the inside of the building, early to mid-February they are expecting the vessel to come in, and they have the conduit in. Tyk also updated the board that the Arsenal Rd project should be done within the next week or so. Tyk informed the board that over the holidays Public Works had three water main breaks to work on.
Pintar did not have anything to add at this time.
VanVooren did not have anything to add at this time.
Gulli updated the board saying the department executed a search warrant for the 24400 block of Arrowhead Drive. Gulli said he cannot discuss any details of the search warrant, but it will always be this department’s goal to keep the children and adults safe in town. Gulli is hopeful to bring this to a resolution within the next few weeks and mentioned that this is a very isolated incident and that there is no threat to neighboring areas.
