A Regular Meeting of the Village of Manhattan President and Board of Trustees was held on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.

CALL TO ORDER:

Mayor Adrieansen calls the Village of Manhattan Board meeting to order at 5:30 P.M.

ROLL CALL:

Bahena aye, Young aye, Dilling aye, Neighbors aye, Boone aye, Doyle aye, Adrieansen aye (7 ayes, 0 nays, 0 absent)

Also present are Bouck, DiBenedetto, VanVooren, Nelson, Chief Gulli, Tyk, Pintar, and Attorney Taylor

PUBLIC HEARING/RECOGNITIONS/SPECIAL ITEMS:

There are no public hearing/recognitions/special items

PUBLIC COMMENT:

There are no Public Comments

CONSENT AGENDA:

Young motion to Approve the Consent Agenda which consists of Approval of January 20, 2026, Village Board Meeting Minutes, January 24, 2026, Village Board Meeting Minutes – Strategic Planning Workshop, February 1, 2026, Bills list, A Resolution authorizing the use of U.S. 52 and Manhattan-Monee Road, on Saturday, March 7, 2026. Boone Second. Roll Call: Bahena aye, Young aye, Dilling aye, Neighbors aye, Boone aye, Doyle aye. (6 ayes, 0 nays, 0 absent, 0 abstain). Motion Carried.

NEW BUSINESS:

Dilling motion to approve a Resolution approving the Grounds/Landscaping Maintenance Program for 2025-2029 with Latino’s Landscaping for a 4-year contract in the amount of $58,905.00. Bahena Second. Roll Call: Young aye, Dilling aye, Neighbors aye, Boone aye, Doyle aye, Bahena aye. (6 ayes, 0 nays, 0 absent, 0 abstain). Motion Carried.

FROM VILLAGE OFFICIALS:

Mayor Adrieansen informed everyone that they received a notice from IDOT that they are doing some speed limit changes down Rt. 52 from Baker Rd. to Bruns Rd. IDOT is also making changes down Manhattan-Monee Rd. near Century East and also towards Cedar Rd.

Bahena did not have anything at this time

Young informed Tyk that he had a resident reach out to him regarding a pothole on the bridge on 52 and understands it’s not our jurisdiction but asked if he was aware of it. Tyk informed Young that the pothole has been filled.

Dilling thanked the residents for coming to the meeting

Neighbors did not have anything at this time

Boone informed everyone that the Village of Manhattan Blood drive had a good turnout and wished everyone a good Super Bowl weekend.

Doyle thanked Public Works for the great job cleaning up the snow

Bouck did not have anything at this time

REPORTS FROM VILLAGE STAFF:

DiBenedetto thanked the Board for their time at the Strategic Planning Workshop and let them know it was appreciated. DiBenedetto said that they will bring the board a budget hopefully at the beginning of March.

Nelson did not have anything at this time.

Tyk did not have anything at this time.

Pintar did not have anything to add at this time.

VanVooren did not have anything at this time.

Gulli did not have anything at this time.
