F. MOTIONS

1. Motion to Approve Romaas, Inc. as the Lowest Responsible Bidder for the Construction of the New Bolingbrook Animal Care Center

■ The Village’s animal control needs have outgrown the existing facility located at 145 Royce Rd.

■ New facility will be located adjacent to the Public Works Building at 299 Canterbury Lane

■ Fourteen (14) bids were received. Romaas, Inc. provided the lowest bid at $2,519,900.00. The Village has secured a $1,025,000 grant from the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity for this project

■ Reviewed and approved by the Public Services and Development Committee

G.RESOLUTIONS

1. Resolution (26R-024) Approving Value Engineering Line Changes for the New Bolingbrook Animal Care Center Item

■ Post bid value engineering was undertaken to reduce overall cost

■ Reduced total cost of project from $2,519,900.00 to $2,282,900.00

■ Reviewed and approved by the Public Services and Development Committee

2. Resolution (26R-025) Authorizing the Trade In of Radios and Parts and the Purchase of Thirteen (13) Motorola APX N70 Handheld Portable Radios from Motorola Solutions

■ Purchase will be made through the Will County Emergency Telephone System Board (ETSB) agreement with Motorola for a bulk purchasing discount of 33%

■ Current radios and parts are 8-10 years old and no longer under warranty

■ Total amount not to exceed $79,414.53, which is $585.47 under the budgeted amount of $80,000.00

■ Reviewed and approved by the Public Safety Committee

3. Resolution (26R-026) Approving a Sales Contract with Fire Service, Inc. for the Purchase of a MY Ford F550 4×4 Gas Chassis WC1180 Ambulance

■ Sales Agreement governs the terms of the purchase of new front-line ambulance for Fire Department

■ Total cost not to exceed $398,672.00, which is $1,328.00 under the budgeted amount of $400,000.00

■ Reviewed and approved by the Public Safety Committee

4. Resolution (26R-027) Authorizing the Prebuild Changes to the Replacement Fire Truck and Fire Engine from Fire Service, Inc.

■ Board previously approved the purchase of the replacement fire truck and fire engine

■ Prebuild Vehicles changes are needed to add longevity and performance to the Vehicles

■ Prebuild changes to the truck total $75,330.00; prebuild changes to the engine total $24,670.00, which equal the budgeted amount of $100,000.00

■ Reviewed and approved by the Public Safety Committee

H. ORDINANCES

1. Ordinance (26-007) Approving a Special Use Permit for a Planned Development to Allow a Commercial School at 623 Boughton Road, Suite 160 (Mathnasium Tutoring Center)

■ Mathnasium is an established tutoring center for children of all ages

■ Commercial Schools require a special use in the B-2 zoning district

■ Reviewed and approved by the Plan Commission

2. Ordinance (26-008) Approving a Special Use Permit for an Adult Day Care Center at 440 Quadrangle Drive, Unit B (Capital Care)

■ Capital Care has outgrown their current location at 235 Remington and is seeking a larger space for their senior activities

■ Day Care Centers require a special use in the B-4 zoning district

■ Reviewed and approved by the Plan Commission

3. Ordinance (26-009) Amending Chapter 6 of the Bolingbrook Village Code Increasing Class “D-2” (Full-Service) from Seventeen (17) toEighteen (18) and Class “D-1” (Outdoor) from Fourteen (14) to Fifteen (15) HRB 250 Inc, D/B/A Hacienda Real 250 S. Weber Rd

■ Grants a Class D-2 and D-1 liquor license to Hacienda Real, which is expected to open by early April

■ Reviewed and approved by all relevant personnel

4. Ordinance (26-010) Amending Chapter 6 (“Alcoholic Beverages”) of the Bolingbrook Village Code to establish a New Class “G-1” Liquor License Regarding the Sale of Alcoholic Beverages within the Village of Bolingbrook

■ New G-1 license will be a supplemental liquor licensing for those establishments with an existing video gaming license, and authorizes sale of liquor for consumption on the premises in the designated gaming location

■ Total number of G-1 licenses shall not exceed two (2)

■ Reviewed and approved by all relevant personnel

5. Ordinance (26-011) Amending the Village Fee Schedule to Modify Alcoholic Beverages (Class G-1, License Fee)

■ Amends Village’s Fee Schedule to add new liquor classification

■ Class G-1 will have no separate application fee and $1,250.00 annual license Fee 

■ Reviewed and approved by all relevant personnel
